Back to School

Boy, we had a very busy day today. I got to see lots of boys and girls who will be coming to kindergarten this year. This is just a note to remind parents of the schedule for next week:

Monday or Tuesday: come to school at your scheduled time for testing with your child. You will sign up for a day  (Wednesday or Thursday) Phase-In.

Wednesday or Thursday: Phase -In days until 12:00. Please bring your supplies on these days.

Friday: NO kindergarten students come to school.

Monday, August 15 full time for kindergarten students.

I know we will have an amazing school year!!

Farm City Days Field Trip

We had a wonderful time on our trip today. We got to see and do fun and interesting things. Here is just a couple of pictures.

Our Space Projects

We recently completed a unit on outer space. The students had to complete a a outer space family project. I am not sure who had more fun the parents or the students. Here is a picture of our completed projects:

Hand Print Bunny

You can make these for next year or anytime you are doing rabbits. I painted their index finger, pinky and palm. We drew the face on with sharpies. When we took them down out of the hall we attached their bunny pictures we took on the back for a nice Easter Card for their parents.

How Many Bunnies Tall

This is a math book we made using our measuring skills. We chose bunnies to see how tall we were. The children have a wonderful time doing this. This is the cover of the class book we made.

Lady Bug Name Plates

I am already working on new things to go with a Ladybug theme. I wanted name tags to use with our word wall and also for our tables.

Our Class Book about Ants

Our class has been reading about ants. The PreK teacher next door had this really cool ant farm so we borrowed it to use with our book. The students really enjoyed learning about ants and what all they do.
